Eitaku was an illustrator and print designer who authored a woodblock-printed picture book of designs for artisans in 1880. It was entitled Banbutsu Hinagata Gafu (i.e., Picture Album of Models for Many Things). Most book pages included black-and-white pictures of multiple objects. Forty-four pages which showed flowers and (or) birds are included in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. Both the shape and surface details of the objects depicted were true to life despite their small size. To see a gallery with larger pictures click here.
